Which Landmark report is in the quote?

The published residential range includes Homecheck, Envirosearch and RiskView, with different scope and prices. Homecheck is presented as an environmental-risk introduction; other products add more detailed screening or planning-related content. Treat a solicitor's reference to “Landmark” as the start of a question, not a full specification. Ask for the precise product, the property boundary it covers and any follow-up reports recommended for the location. That is more useful than comparing the longest table of feature ticks.

What Homecheck says it assesses

The Homecheck page describes contaminated-land liability assessment plus ground-stability and radon assessment, with alerts for other environmental topics. It also describes a further-action review service subject to sufficient additional information. These are meaningful service differences from simply displaying a nearby public-register entry. This comparison does not imply that a warning establishes contamination or that a pass answers every possible building question. Read the report's exact recommendation, limitations and supporting evidence.

Starting price versus the full search pack

The figures above are Landmark's published starting prices before VAT, checked on 5 September 2026. They should not be compared directly with a solicitor's complete search-pack quote, which may include local-authority, drainage-and-water and additional location-specific searches. Confirm whether a quote includes VAT, the provider's administration and any additional work prompted by a result. HouseCheckup's fixed report price buys a different screening service; the difference in price is not evidence of equivalent scope at a discount.
